Make your statement – fair, ethical, eco-friendly.
The Picchu wool pillow makes a dramatic statement – bold, modern design that also directly benefits women.
Handwoven on a traditional backstrap loom by women artisans living in the high Andes of Peru, this wool pillow is made of thick, handspun and community-sourced wool yarn, creating a richly textured pillow reminiscent of the thick blankets, or frazadas, southern Cusco is known for.
WHO MADE THIS WOOL PILLOW?
This Picchu Handspun Wool Pillow was handwoven in the high Andean community of Upis by the Awaq Mayki weaving association. Upis is located about 4 hours away from Cusco in the shadow of Ausangate mountain, the highest mountain in the region and the most important apu (mountain deity) in Quechua cosmology.
Note: Excludes cushion insert.
