Where Design Meets the UAE Desert
At urban nest, we believe that great design is about more than beautiful furniture. It's about creativity, inspiration, community and bringing people together.
Every six months, we invite an interior designer from our local design community to take over a part of our showroom in Al Quoz, Dubai, and create something special for the launch of our latest collections.
Rather than simply displaying new furniture and accessories, we give designers the creative freedom to tell a story, experiment with different styles and bring their own vision to life.
It's our way of celebrating the incredible creative talent in the UAE, inspiring our customers to look at interiors differently and strengthening the relationships we've built with our community of interior designers over the years.
We also love inviting other local brands, makers and suppliers to join these collaborations, creating opportunities to connect, share ideas and showcase beautiful design together.
And our latest collaboration might just be one of our favourites!
Introducing Desert Domesticity by BLAK Creative Studio
For our October 2026 collection launch, we teamed up with Caio from BLAK Creative Studio, a Dubai-based creative design studio, to bring an unexpected concept to life: Desert Domesticity.
Inspired by the UAE and its beautiful desert landscapes, Caio wanted to create something that felt especially relevant to the place we call home. The idea started with a simple thought: What if the journey we're looking for is already on our doorstep?
After months of uncertainty and changes to the way we travel and live, the concept invites us to rediscover the beauty of our surroundings. Instead of travelling far to escape, why not imagine bringing the comfort of home into the desert?
Desert Domesticity explores the connection between indoor and outdoor living, combining the warmth and familiarity of a home with the freedom, openness and natural beauty of the UAE landscape.
The result? A beautiful, intimate desert retreat right in the middle of our urban nest showroom in Al Quoz.
Warm earthy tones, layered textiles, beautiful furniture, carefully selected artwork and soft lighting come together to create a space that feels both familiar and completely unexpected.
A little escape from the city, without actually leaving Dubai.
A New Chapter for HKLIVING and Louis Poulsen
Of course, this special setting was also created to celebrate some exciting new arrivals at urban nest! As the exclusive UAE distributor of Dutch interior design brand HKLIVING, we're always excited to introduce their latest collections to our customers and interior design community.
This season brings expressive furniture, beautiful new artwork, tactile materials, rugs, lighting and fresh additions to the much-loved HKLIVING 70s ceramics collection.
We're also introducing pieces from the exciting collaboration between HKLIVING and Dutch designer Teun Zwets, whose playful, unconventional approach turns everyday objects into functional works of art.
And there's another exciting addition to the nest!
We're very happy to announce that urban nest is now an official retailer of Louis Poulsen lighting in the UAE.
The iconic Danish lighting brand is known worldwide for its timeless designs, craftsmanship and innovative approach to light. From the playful Panthella by Verner Panton to the elegant PH lighting collection by Poul Henningsen, these are pieces that have become true design classics.
A selection of Louis Poulsen's iconic table lamps, floor lamps and pendant lights can now be discovered in our Dubai showroom, alongside our curated collection of European furniture and home accessories.

A Celebration of Our Dubai Design Community
We launched Desert Domesticity on 8 October with a special gathering of interior designers, creative professionals, friends of urban nest and design lovers.
After quite some time since our last event, it felt wonderful to bring everyone together again, share ideas, discover new collections and simply reconnect over coffee.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made the morning so special.
And of course, a special thank you to Caio and BLAK Creative Studio for bringing this concept to life, to Louis Poulsen for their support, and to local furniture brand Custom No.9 for lending us the beautiful bed that completed our desert retreat.
It's collaborations like these that remind us why we love being part of Dubai's creative community.
