Our products are curated exclusively from well-reputed Dutch and Latin American design labels and designers. For us affordability, sustainability and unique products that tell a story are the most important filters for selection. Urban Nest is the exclusive distributor in the Middle East region for design brands HKliving, Hubsch, New Citizen Design and Tiny Miracles. We have also created our own collection of Latin American Fairtrade textiles such as rugs and pillow cover.

Urban Nest is a start-up company with 5 employees and searching for the right talent to help grow our business in a very informal and casual environment located one of the trendiest places in Dubai. We are looking for an enthusiastic and interior passionate Customer service and Sales Executive to join our team. 


The role
The sales executive is the first person to meet and greet customers that come to visit our showroom. He/She must welcome our customers, understand their needs and advise. He/ She is also responsible for putting on the best displays, deliver exceptional customer service and respond to customer requests and questions with technical product knowledge and finesse.

The sales executive will report directly to the Operations Manager and will work from the Urban Nest shared showroom at Parallel Space in Al Quoz 1. This is a full-time role equivalent to 45 hours a week (5 days / week) including Saturdays and all UAE national holidays when the showroom is open to the public.

1.  Customer service
- Providing great customer service and customer experience in the showroom.
- Answering product and service questions via email, phone and social media.
- Updating the pre-order and customer inquiry lists.
- Follow up with the showroom customers and pro-actively following up with leads.
- Updating the website with new collections, pricing, product descriptions and marketing activations.
- Assisting the operations manager with creating quotations and other customer service related tasks.
- Sending catalogues, samples and product information to interior designers.


2. Showroom responsibilities

- Striving to achieve the Business sales targets.
- Manage the showroom to always be in perfect condition and clean. Cleaning will be done by, but limited to, our external cleaning company. This also includes the coffee corner, washroom and co-working spaces.
- All items should always be displayed properly and correctly priced.
- Follow the monthly Marketing Calendar (new collections, activations, events, new arrivals) and ensure that this is also prepared and visible in the showroom displays. Providing ideas and taking initiative to create original showroom displays.

- Responsible for organizing showroom events and workshops.
- Manage the showroom level stock levels and request stock transfers between Sentinel and Vertical to maintain right stock levels in the showroom.
- Ensure monthly physical stock counts are done and reported to Operations Manager and Accountant.
- Manage the coffee corner stock levels and keep track of sales/ payments.
- Ensure monthly physical stock counts are done and reported to Operations Manager and Accountants team.
- Informing and being the main contact for other external vendors for renting a space or pop up.


The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar Sales Executive role.
Graduate in the field of Marketing, Supply chain or Interior design.
Excellent Customer service, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Excellent English verbal and written skills. Arabic is a plus.
Microsoft office proficient (mainly Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Interest or passion for interior design.
Pro-active and flexible attitude.
Preference for own visa/ spouse/ family visa
Preference for possession of driver’s license and own car.
Working days will include weekends and all U.A.E national holidays.

This is a permanent full-time role (5 days a week) based in our showroom in Al Quoz 1. Working days must include Fridays and Saturdays, the other 3 days are flexible. ALL UAE national holidays when the showroom will operate are also considered as operational days.
