Interior design trends 2021: All about luxury

Interior design trends 2021: All about luxury - Urban nest

Janaika Elders |

We are spending more time at home than ever before. That’s why it’s super important to create a nice atmosphere. This also contributes to a more productive working day. Fortunately, the brands we distribute can all be found online! Scrolling for hours can be nice, but this time we have your back. We've listed all the trends of 2021 so you can start a makeover right away.

Colors of 2021
In 2020, we were already introduced to different shades of grey, but in 2021 we will be able to enjoy them to the fullest. On the walls, on the furniture, you will see grey everywhere. Grey is the new white. Believe us, white is passé. Grey gives your home a luxurious look. Plants and home accessories are shown to their best advantage.

Another color that also provides a luxurious look is the color, ‘Brave ground’. Because we spend so much time at home, a peaceful surrounding is the key. This brown color fits in perfectly. Brave ground is best combined with red, pink, yellow, green, and blue shades.

Speaking about blue... Marine blue is the new black.

This color is timeless and gives your home a unique character. Marine blue is very suitable for your bedroom, it provides peace and coolness. The ingredients for a good night of sleep.

Natural luxury
Lightwood. This trend was inspired by interior design in Scandinavia and is gradually taking over the world. The wood species recur in all sorts of designs: floors, furniture, and even the ceiling can't escape this trend. Alternate between different wood tones, so it doesn’t become monotonous. Do you want to turn your home into the Scandinavia of Dubai? Combine the wood with white furniture.

Another natural material is marble. This stone really gives your house the chic-factor. Marble goes very well with muted color tones such as beige, light grey, and brown grey.

The inside garden
Botanical living will remain popular in 2021. Connect outdoors with indoors and bring plants into your home. They provide clean air and oxygen.

Dried flowers are the solution if you are rarely at home or sometimes forget to water your plants. They create the right atmosphere in your home and are real eye-catchers. Check out the dried flowers of Wild botanists!

To bring the botanical living to another level, choose sustainable accessories. For example, linen, organic cotton, and bamboo. We also believe fair trade is very important. Therefore, all the brands we distribute are fair trade. So, you can shop our brands carefree.

Statement pieces
This year, dark and calm color tones may be the trend, but that doesn't mean your home has to be ordinary.  Personalizing your home is important.

Make sure to get one masterpiece for your home. For instance, a big luxurious mirror or a fascinating lamp. If you prefer art, choose face line art. Super modern and original, and it comes in several variations.

Luxurious furniture
Round shape furniture is the furniture trend of 2021. It gives a feminine and artistic touch to your interior. Will this be your standout piece?

On the other hand, materials such as metal and velvet provide a luxurious look. These furniture pieces fit well with the current color trend.

Back in the days
Last but not least, we go back in time. The interior style from the 50s, 60s, and 70s is back! This trend is a daring trend and super classic. You can make it trendy by combining it with modern items. The 'outdoor in' trend fits very well, plants were a must during the 50s. Also, round furniture was common in those days and so it is now. Would you like to go for a slightly less outspoken retro item? Then choose a lamp or cushions with a remarkable print.

Doris vintage, the name says it all, fits this trend perfectly. With many different colors and prints, Doris furniture is truly candy for the eye.
