Description
Description
The VL 45 Radiohus Pendant is a masterpiece of Danish functionalist design, conceived by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen in the late 1930s for Radiohuset, the headquarters of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation.
Developed in collaboration with Louis Poulsen, this iconic pendant originally graced the interiors of this architectural landmark when it opened in 1945. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the pendant features a three-layer, mouth-blown glass shade with untreated brass accents, delivering both exceptional lighting performance and understated elegance.
The original Opal white finish remains a timeless choice, while contemporary variants in Pale rose, Pale yellow, and Amber offer refined options for modern interiors seeking quiet luxury and sophisticated ambiance. A piece of design history that seamlessly bridges mid-century heritage with today's aesthetic sensibilities.
Dimensions: 175 x 246 x 175 mm and 250 x 328 x 250 mm
Mounting: 4.4 m. White textile cord. Canopy included.
Materials: Mouth-blown polished opal glass. Untreated brushed brass, will patinate.
